The subject "SLEEP" is so important and cannot be over emphasized. Sleep is as important as the healthy foods that we eat and is as important as the exercises we do.  So many people have not really paid good attention to their sleep health and they suffer the ills of not having to pay attention to sleep. Sleep quality has greatly reduce in our today's world because people have all kinds of reasons why they should not let sleep cross their eyes.
I believe a lot of refreshing takes place when we sleep, and that explains why we feel better after we have slept.
At 5am some have already started their work for the day, only to close at 6pm or 7pm. They get to their houses feeling tired but still needs to pay some attention to family, visit one or two friends, come back late, eat and sleep late only to wake up before 5am to start working.
Here are some reasons why you should pay attention to your sleep health.

1: A very Good Sleep increases Concentration and Productivity. Sleep is very important for various aspects of the brain function which includes; Concentration, Performance, Cognition and Productivity. All of these will be affected when you deprive yourself of good sleep.
Good sleep improves problem solving skills. Please pay attention to your sleep health.

2: Are you an Athlete, Basketball player, Singer... Good sleep increases your performance. It will increase your speed, accuracy and your overall performance. Poor sleep does the opposite. It reduces your overall performance.

3: Those who are deprived of good sleep has the greater risk of having heart disease, stroke, and some other killer diseases. Nobody wants to have stroke or diabetes. Everybody wants to be healthy. Please for the sake of your health, consider having enough sleep.

4: People who are deprived of good sleep are more prone to depression. Poor sleep leads to depression and I am sure you don't want ti be depressed. About 90 percent of people with depression complain about sleep quality. People with sleep disorder like insomnia report significantly higher rate of depression than those without. You really need to ensure that you have good sleeping habits.

5: Good sleep improves immune function. Even a small loss of sleep has been shown to impair immune functions. If you are getting the cold, just ensure that you get enough sleep at least eight (8) hours everyday and you may never have to get the cold.

6: Sleep affects emotions and social interactions. Loss of sleep reduces your ability to really socialize. Several studies have confirmed this using emotional facial recognition test. Researchers believe that poor sleep affects your ability to recognize important social cues and  process emotional information.

Nutrition and exercises are good, but Good sleep is one of the pillars to great health.
